This is a no-frills, direct-service organization.
Any funds we raise are supplemented by Federal government humanitarian assistance grants and private philanthropic programs in order to ship the books overseas.
Please help us to place book collection containers in as many locations as possible.
We seek broad-based community support to fill each community book collection container. We offer containers in a variety of sizes to fit the space constraints of any parking lot, or other area where a school, business, or house of worship is willing to allow it. They are made of steel and last over 20 years, are weatherproof and vandal-proof, are maintenance-free, and require no foundation placed underneath them. We provide prompt emptying of our containers as they fill. If you know of any business, school, house of worship, or other institution that would be willing to host a container, please contact us. While we have collected over 5 million books to date, we have barely tapped into the amount of still-functional books that can be saved from destruction and put to good reuse.

Please spread the word to the greatest extent possible. Friends, neighbors, and people at your local library, schools, houses of worship, or clubs probably have surplus books.
