In the first three months of 2007, Hands Across the Water donated over one million books in several shipments that went to needy schools and libraries in Nigeria, Ghana, India, and the Phillippines. The books were enthusiastically received and we have a continuing need for books of all kinds both library and school (text)books on all subjects. Upcoming shipments go to Kenya and Tanzania with continuing support for our domestic mission to help needy areas within the USA. Thanks for all your support.

The Pilot, the newspaper for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boston covering Eastern Massachusetts, did a feature write up on us! They featured the collection program active at St. John the Evangelist Church at 2254 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge. We have a drop slot container in the rear parking lot of the church. The container is available to the general public for use every day during daylight hours. Read the article here.
